Delete your account
You can delete your Ansarr account and personal data once your wallet is clear (see below). Deletion is permanent and removes your profile, verification details, wallet, and study history. You can also do this in the app: go to Profile, then Delete account.
1. Before you delete
- If you’re a researcher, close your live studies first.
- If your wallet holds ₦10,000 or more, withdraw it first.
- A balance under ₦10,000 is below the minimum withdrawal. You can still delete your account, but that balance is given up and can’t be recovered.
- You can’t delete your account while a withdrawal is still in progress. Wait until it’s been paid. Withdrawals are paid every Friday.
2. What is deleted, and what we keep
Deleting your account removes your profile, self-declared demographics, verification evidence, wallet, and study participation history straight away. We keep a record of the money that moved through your account: the amounts, dates and statuses of study payments and fees, rewards, refunds, withdrawals, and any balance you give up. It doesn’t include your name, phone number, email address, bank details or account ID. We keep it for as long as we need it to meet our legal, accounting and tax obligations.
3. How to delete your account
Enter the phone number on your Ansarr account. We’ll text you a code to confirm it’s you.
Or open the Ansarr app and go to Profile, then Delete account.
Can’t receive texts on that number? Email ask@ansarr.com from your registered email, or tell us your registered phone number, and we’ll check it’s you and delete your account within 7 days.
