Terms of Service
Operated by Zoluna Limited (Nigeria) · Last updated: 30 June 2026
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) form a legally binding agreement between you and Zoluna Limited (“Zoluna”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), a company incorporated in the Federal Republic of Nigeria, governing your access to and use of the Ansarr platform, websites, and mobile application (collectively, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Acceptable Use Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.
1. Definitions
- “Researcher” — a user who creates, funds, and publishes studies on the Service.
- “Participant” (or “Respondent”) — a user who completes studies in exchange for cash rewards.
- “Study” — a research task published by a Researcher, completed via an external survey link and verified by a completion code.
- “Wallet” — the in-app balance in which a user’s funds or earnings are held, in Nigerian Naira (₦).
- “Escrow” — funds a Researcher pays in advance and which we hold and release in accordance with these Terms.
- “Payments Partner” — our licensed third-party payment processor(s), including Paystack, used to collect funds and disburse payouts.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, resident in Nigeria, and legally capable of entering into a binding contract to use the Service. You may hold one account only, registered to a phone number you control. By using the Service you represent that all information you provide is true, current, and complete.
3. Accounts, verification & security
Accounts are identified by a Nigerian mobile number verified by one-time passcode (OTP). We may also capture a device fingerprint and apply additional verification tiers (for example a qualification check, voice verification, or identity verification) before granting access to certain studies or releasing payouts. You are responsible for all activity under your account, must keep your access credentials secure, and must notify us promptly of any unauthorised use.
4. The Service
Ansarr is a two-sided research marketplace. Researchers publish paid studies and target eligible Participants by demographic criteria; Participants complete the linked external survey and earn a cash reward upon approval. Ansarr is a facilitator and is not a party to the underlying research engagement; we do not author study content and are not responsible for the conduct, content, or accuracy of any external survey.
5. Researcher obligations
- Provide accurate study information, a working and lawful survey link, and a clearly displayed completion code on the final page of the survey.
- Fund each study in full before it is published (Section 6), and review submitted responses fairly and promptly within the review window (Section 8).
- Comply with all applicable laws governing the collection and processing of research data, including obtaining any consents required from Participants.
- Not seek to identify, contact, or collect personal data from Participants beyond what the Service exposes (an anonymised code and targeted demographics only).
6. Payments, fees & escrow
When a Researcher publishes a study, the full study cost — the reward per response multiplied by the target sample size, plus a platform fee of fifteen percent (15%) of that reward subtotal — is collected in advance through our Payments Partner and held in escrow. We maintain a ledger of escrowed funds (total, reserved, released, and refunded). When a Participant submits a completed response, the corresponding reward is reserved; on approval it is released to the Participant’s Wallet; on rejection it returns to the available pool. Participants are paid solely from funds a Researcher has already paid in — we do not advance or guarantee any payment. The platform fee is earned upon funding and is non-refundable except where required by law.
7. Acceptable use
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Acceptable Use Policy, which forms part of these Terms. In summary, you must not operate multiple or proxy accounts, submit false, automated, rushed, or duplicated responses, use bots or deceptive means to qualify for studies or claim rewards, provide false verification information, publish unlawful or harmful survey content, attempt to de-anonymise or harass other users, or use the Service for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose. We may detect and act on breaches through automated checks and manual review, including rejecting responses, withholding or reversing rewards, and suspending or terminating accounts.
8. Verifying completion & releasing rewards
A reward is released to a Participant only after a response is verified. Each Participant must enter the study’s unique completion code — displayed on the final page of the survey — to confirm genuine completion. The Researcher then has a review window of 120 hours (5 days) to approve or reject the response. Approved responses are paid from escrow; if the Researcher does not act within the review window, eligible responses are auto-approved so that genuine work is not left unpaid. Responses flagged by our automated speed and attention checks may be held for additional review.
9. Withdrawals & payouts
Participants may withdraw available Wallet earnings to a Nigerian bank account, subject to a minimum withdrawal amount. Before any payout, the bank account is verified through our Payments Partner to confirm the account name. Payouts are net of the Payments Partner’s transfer fee, which is disclosed before you confirm a withdrawal. We may delay or withhold a payout where we reasonably suspect fraud, a breach of these Terms, or where verification is incomplete.
10. Refunds for Researchers
A Researcher may close a study at any time. On closure, the unspent reward pool — funds reserved for responses not yet collected — is refunded to the Researcher’s Wallet, from which it may be reused or withdrawn. Rewards already earned by Participants for approved responses are not reversed, and the platform fee is non-refundable. To protect Participants who have done the work, closure is not permitted while any response remains awaiting review.
11. Disputes
A Researcher who believes a response is invalid may reject it, with a reason, during the review window; the reward is not paid and returns to the pool. A Participant whose response is rejected may submit an appeal, which is escalated to our internal review team for adjudication; where an appeal is upheld, the Participant is paid. Our determination on an appeal is final. Nothing in this Section limits any right you may have to pursue a payment-related complaint through your card issuer or our Payments Partner.
12. Suspension & termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, withhold or reverse rewards, and decline payouts, with or without notice, where we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, engaged in fraud, or where required by law or our Payments Partner. You may stop using the Service and request account closure at any time; closure does not affect obligations accrued before closure.
13. Privacy & data protection
We process personal data in accordance with the Nigeria Data Protection Act, 2023 (NDPA) and applicable regulations. Your phone number is your primary identifier; we collect only the information needed to operate the Service, verify eligibility, and pay you, and we do not sell your personal data. Verification evidence (such as identity or matriculation documents) is used solely to confirm eligibility and is never shared with Researchers. Researchers only ever see an anonymised code and the demographics a study targets — never your name, phone number, email, bank details, or verification evidence.
14. Disclaimers & limitation of liability
The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that studies will be available, that responses will be approved, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Zoluna’s aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the platform fees you paid to us in the three (3) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or ₦20,000; and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill.
15. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Zoluna and its officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your study content or responses, or your breach of these Terms or any applicable law.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified through the Service or by other reasonable means, and the “Last updated” date above will be revised. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
17. Governing law & contact
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and the courts of Nigeria have jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection with them. Questions, notices, and data requests may be sent to us at useansarr@gmail.com.
